About the NHS App

You can use the NHS App or log in using a web browser to access a range of NHS services online. The NHS App is available on iOS and Android.

The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of services.  You must be aged 13 or over to use the NHS App and be registered with a GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man. You also need to prove who you are to get full access. 


What can you do with the NHS App?

With full access, you can:

  • Order prescriptions and nominate a pharmacy where you would like to collect them
  • View your GP health record to see information such as allergies, medicines, test results etc. 
  • View your NHS number
  • Check if you need urgent medical help using 111 online
  • View your upcoming and past appointments
  • Find Covid-19 guidance and view your vaccine record
  • Register you organ donation decision
  • Choose how the NHS uses your data

Before proving who you are, you can use the NHS App to:

  • Browse NHS health information
  • Browse NHS medicines information
  • Find NHS services near you
